What words you run into.

Just ran across a word and it got me to thinking. This is just my ramblings and concerns and totally my opinion.

Warfare

The word itself is synonymous with movies and television shows depicting armed conflicts. Men and women using tools of war to kill, tear apart, and overwhelm the enemy or enemies. The dictionary describes the term warfare as, and I quote from WWW.WEBSTER.COM, “Warfare:military operations between enemies; also: an activity undertaken by a political unit (as a nation) to weaken or destroy another”; (links removed and emphasis mine). The Gulf War of the very early 1990's; Afghanistan and Iraq Wars of 2003 through 2008; recent conflicts from Boco Haram to the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and ISIL in Northwest Iraq and Eastern Syria. The trouble in the Philippines with Islamic Extremism. Communist China finding out that maybe they aren't out of the picture when it comes to violent conflict.

I would also like to present the second, and I think more important, definition on the same page as the first.“struggle between competing entities”. It's not just two entities. There are always more than two. From the highest levels in governments, corporations, and media giants to the lowest levels of the poorest in the world, you find struggles and competing religions, ideologies, philosophies, and cultural differences. Man against man. Seeking and fighting over resources.

I could go into some extensive dissertation on what really is the problem with the world today. However I would run out of data storage on this machine before I could even touch the surface. So since I believe in the 'less is more' belief when giving my opinion, I'll try to keep this short. Though so far I seem to be taking up a lot space and time getting there.

I believe you could boil all problems in the world to selfishness. At the simplest human form it's based on instinct; a struggle to stay alive for one more day. A little higher up in the level of complexity it may very well be enlightened self interests. Some resource to improve the family, tribe, or small group. Maybe it's land, water resources, hunting, and foraging areas. Nature itself shows how animals will roam to find whatever they need to survive as a group. Herds of Buffalo, elephants, deer, elk, caribou, seal, even penguins show that they must work hard to gain the resources vital to their survival.

With man it gets even more complicated and intricate. Families become groups, become tribes, become villages/cities/towns, then on to nations. Many still have identities with their families, their tribes, and seem reluctant to hand over their individualism to some ideal they may not necessarily disagree with but balk at it when it causes the individual survival and self interest to be disregarded by permission of the individual in question. If you don't understand the last sentence ask a veteran who volunteered to serve and found out the hard way he signed his ass over to Uncle Sam for the duration.

The next level is what I call the power play of selfishness. The formation of control groups. You know? Game of Thrones style of Monarchies, Oligarchies, Theologies, and every other confusing -ologies? Yeah, those types. These all encourage ownership of land or resources by a few who control the rest via the purse or sword, possibly both. George R. R. Martin is a good story teller and as always people die in his novels, but I digress. The point is loyalty to the ruling class of people, this is where we get our classes of whom is better than whom. Maybe it's who is better than who? You get the idea. When a group controls others by power and economic means you get greed. Not that greed is exclusive to just those in power or of high economic means. Religions, social groups, merchant guilds, and co-ops, large and prosperous families, so on and so forth. It's when someone wants one more than another and doesn't want others to have as much or more than they do. We understand that very well.

The point I make is that when a group, based on power and resources, handed any liberty given voluntarily to the group of fallible humans by fallible humans, even for necessary organization to complete any endeavor, you will have abuses and lessening of the value of human life. It's inevitable. You could list it ad infinitum the groups who used and abused each other throughout all of human history. Kings, queens, great leaders, powerful theocracies and movements who murder millions in the name of their ideology. Hundreds of thousands still die today in the name of insanity still. Leftovers from the age of Inquisitions, the Totalitarianism of the Ottoman Empire, the Soviet Union's Gulags, the Mao Dynasty of Communism that starved tens of millions on purpose, the hidden Progressivism and Eugenics of Nazi Germany of the 1930's, and don't forget Spain's Fascist Revolution no less.

A term came to the forefront years ago that describes most of the results of human selfishness. Democide. The intentional murder of people by government. In a sick way this is nothing short of self inflicted suicides. People live under the government they choose to live under. Those in the governmental class now have your permission to kill you. Oh, all legal of course, and all in the name of whatever the flavor of excuse is that day. As usual dead men (women and children too of course), tell no tales. The government people in charge have endless excuses and few, if any, are ever held to account. Oh there are scape goats galore, but no person who is really in charge and gave the orders or commands are executed like the bastages they really are on a regular basis. But when they do, like Mussolini and Nicolae Ceaușescu, they deserve everything they get ten fold. You see, their people got fed up and took back their dignity be eliminating the primary cause of the condition.

Currently Americans have seen a disgraceful abomination of lies and deceit, treasonous and seditious actions as our Ambassador in Benghazi was torn was raped, tortured, torn apart and murdered, the Seal Teams shot down in Pakistan without support or protection (some say it was to appease Pakistani power brokers by our own administration, so that may leave a sour taste in and of itself); border patrol and military helicopters being fired on by Mexican drug cartels and military (nothing was done about it, though I wished it had been a scene from the A-Team instead, maybe we'd have seen more action), and we now are taking in huge numbers of illegals from the southern border and giving asylum to people who stood up proudly on September 11th, 2001 shouting praises to Allah while dancing and celebrating American deaths in their streets as the towers fell setting those terrorists up as Islamic Martyrs. Even the deaths of tens of thousands of Christian children, specifically young girls and women, are being sold into sexual slavery. The older women are raped, murdered, and raped again after they are dead. I think the animals who disregard human being this way need to be put down. But that is my opinion.

Conspiracies abound, but I refuse to accept that our great nations intelligence and information networks cannot inform the President of the United States about what is going on around the world or at least get his attention so they can get him up to speed. Our media elites have all but ignored facts so they may continue their own agendas and are now paying the price with the truth smacking them up the side of their collectivist heads. You cant argue with facts. Specifically the ones that show the ever criticized Fox News and Fox Business News as trouncing all of the competition combined. Note that Fox News and FBN are cable networks only. That means cable and satellite subscribers watch these channels more that even the free over the air networks and cable/Sat news networks combined can garner. This is significant. It shows people want news. Not sensationalism wrapped in a package of socialist message fiction with untenable goals.

Only 1.8% of all adults in the united states are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgendered. Yet, according to ignorant people who are mostly uninformed, get this crazy idea from the media elite Hollywood industry that upwards of 35% to 50% of the entire population are LGBT. This isn't surprising. Most people believe Godzilla is real and living off the coast of Japan. Well, maybe not most, but there are those out there that still believe the government with protect them when they call 911. That the Police will show up seconds into the call to rescue them from the knife wielding, maniac, murderous home invaders. Yeah, about that bridge in Arizona...

Warfare involves more than just physically attacking another group or individual. It involves hearts and minds in emotional, psychological, social, and economic, and political attacks. I give you my opinion, take it or leave it. But I also can't justify enough the importance of how Warfare is expressed in the Hugo nominations the past few years. Larry Correia, Sarah Hoyt, Brad Torgerson, Cedar Sanderson, Vox Day, among many others, were frankly raked over the hate coals with vicious abandon by supposedly tolerant groups of people who are known as gatekeepers. These gatekeepers made sure they threatened physical harm and not just with spouting vitriol. Not just slanderous and libelous puce.

The ugly truth is when people threaten not only harm to you but to your family as well? That isn't free speech or tolerance, that's tyranny. That type of Warfare isn't acceptable in a nation ruled by laws, and the law says we may defend ourselves against such threats. Both within the court of law and of public opinion. However, should those who cross the tenuous line from hyperbole to actual physical engagement; be aware that a move from the First Amendment will run into the Second Amendment. Which all came about by the suppression of free speech and physical attacks by a monarchy via taxation warfare against it's own people by people who didn't like the colonists freely saying “No.” to TRUEFANS of the King.
